Tech and innovations
Since Mesoamerica was so big and diverse, each tribe had there own technology independant from the other tribes!
Olmec:They practiced basic agriculture by using the "slash and burn" technique were they brun overgrown land. Maize was a huge part of their diet, even having a god associated with Maize. Even with there old technology, they were able to build a variety of tools to make their life easier. They would make them out of things like clay, stone, bone, wood and deer antlers. Via pottery, they were able to make things like bowls and plates.
Maya:During the classic period, they devolped a complex understanding of astrology, and learned basic agriculture. They learned how to make buildings without mondern machinery. They communicated with each other using one of thew worlds first languages. AND how to measure time with two (ill be it complicated) calender system.
Teotihuacan:While many people cant agree on what it was, they do know that they had some form of measurement units. They refer to it as the TMU, and it supposedly connected the realationship between time and space. They also had an underground waterway stystem which was a big part of there infrastructure.
Toltecs:They were very militaristic, so most of their 'tech' were things built for fighting. So of course they made advanced weapons and armor. But they also made writing paper, wove out of colored cotton, and they were good at architecture and astrology! They used dams as well as channels to control water flow and supply so they have water over the dry seasons.
Aztecs:They has a chinampa system of floating gardens that they made in shallow lake areas for agriculture. Like some of the other tribes, the Aztecs also had a water system, but they used it to bring fresh water into the city. They used math for things like measurments and they used a variety of plants for medicinal purposes.
