Geographic features
Mesoamerica encompasses a wide vairaty of land, meaning they have very diverse landscapes accross the reigon. Including mountains, lowlands, and coastlands.
Mountains
Mesoamerica is home to quite a few mountainous areas (mainly in monderday mexico), the most notable being the Sierra Madre range, or "Mother Mountain Range". The Sierra Madre mountain range is a collection of three main mountain ranges that stretch from the north to south of modern day Mexico. Along with that, mesoamerica also includes the Trans-mexican volcanic belt, the miya highlands, and various volcanoes.
Lowlands
One of the most significant of the Mesoamerican lowlands, are the Maya lowlands. The Maya lowlands are located at the northern part of central america, encompasing parts of the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico, Guatemala, And Belize. This region has a diverse enviornment, much like the rest of Mesoamerica. Having both desserts and tropical rainforests, yet, also having little exposed surface water.
Coastlands
The Mesoamerica area is basically surrounded by water, so there is a lot to name. But They are namely known for the Gulf of [REDACTED], and the Coasts of Belize, Guademala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, And the other two. But beyond that, I think its important to mention the Mesoamerican Reef (or the Great Mayan Reef)! A major Barrier reef that stretches across the coasts of Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and Houduras! Its actually the SECOND longest barrier reef in the world! Going out for about 625 Miles!
