Not much is known about the Olmec government, but we know they had a strong centralized goverment. The Maya were ruled by a king, creating an absolute monarchy. Each Maya city-state had its own ruling family. Again, not much is known about the Theotihuacan, other than that they had a centralized governemt. The Toltecs had a militaristic aristocracy led by a ruling class with a king at its head. The Aztecs had a hierarchical goverment, and emporer, and much like the Maya, each city state had its own ruler, but they had to pay tribute to the king.

Even though there are so many different religions in Mesoamerica, They somehow all have a similar religion. Most if not all they tribes in Mesoamerica where polytheistic, meaning they believed in multiple gods. Some of the tribes believe in similar gods and dietys, but most of them are rather diffent.
